When I chose to continue my formal education, I had to implement a lot of changes due to me having small kids. I have two that are in school and when I started I had a newborn.

I had to adjust my study time and homework time around times when they were sleeping and at school. For my guided coalition I placed their dad and my mother on the team. I knew I would need help getting my two oldest kids up in the morning for school since I would be pulling late night studying.

My mother was needed to take my kids to school because their dad worked night shift. This gives me more time to sleep after I finish my work and not have to worry about waking them up for school. I knew with a newborn school would be challenging but my coalition has stepped up and been a big help. My kids have been great with me going back to school.

They have joined in to help each other when needed. I explained the importance of school to them and they are happy to share in the journey of me returning to school to further my education. My team works together so that the kids are always taken care of even when I have tired or stressed about a work assignment. Sundays still are the days I am able to focus on work. I always consider Sundays my rest days.
