A company that sells and installs custom designed home theatre systems claims to have sold 977 such systems last year. In order to assess whether these claimed sales are valid, an accountant num- bers the company's sales invoices from 1 to 977 and plans to select a random sample of 50 sales invoices. The accountant will then contact the purchasers listed on the 50 sampled sales invoices and determine whether the sales amounts on the invoices are correct. Starting in the upper left-hand cor- ner of Table 7.1(a) (see page 268), determine which 50 of the 977 sales invoices should be included in the random sample. Note: There are many possible answers to this exercise.
