Explain the steps you would take to dismiss the following employee based on this fact scenario:
a-Lindsay Lohan works at the Stars Are Us Health Centre. This centre is a partnership between herself, Rebecca Quinn, Mimi Markle, Angel Jolly, Bradbury ("Arm") Pitt and Wednesday Adams.
b-Lindsay does not get along with Ms. Quinn. Ms. Jolly experiences friction with Mr. Pitt. Everyone finds Ms. Adams hard to understand and deal with.
c-Despite the friction the operation manages and each works as a personal trainer and splits work hours so that two of them are on the premises every day on a 24 hour basis rotating shifts. They have a thriving membership who does spinning (exercise on stationery bikes), yoga, aerobics, boxing, weight lifting, UFA fighting, Thai boxing, martial arts, modern dance.
d-An employee, Luke Skywalker has been a reoccurring problem. His job is to clean the change rooms, make sure the towels are put in the laundry and restacked. He cleans the toilets, shower stalls, sinks, mirrors, floors. He is a hard worker.
e-Lindsay feels Like is incompetent and continually making mistakes. Rebecca says Luke is mentally challenged and needs a bit of slack but Lindsay claims he is not and just lazy. Mimi believes she should be in charge as President of the company and the others take orders from her. Angel is mad with Bradbury who she feels sides with Luke against her. Wednesday claims Lindsay and Angel or an item and have an agenda against all men and that Mimi Markle is a liar and is way too public in her demands to be the face of the business.
f-The specific incidents Luke has done include:
a-walk into the female change and shower rooms without knocking repeatedly;
b-repeatedly have women's underwear he claims accidentally got mixed up with the towels he was cleaning
c-stare at women clients
d-give certain women clients flowers
e-fail to put up signs saying caution floor wet after he has cleaned them
f- not cleaning sinks, toilets, stalls, benches properly
g-sneaking up on women from behind
h-laughing at a transexual client and asking him if he was really a "girl".
What would your approach be to the above before firing him and what would you do in terms of a remedial program if any. Do you think it's a competency or disciplinary problem and how would that effect your answer?
