Dr. Jake Lambert signed an employment agreement with Baptist Health Services Hospital to provide cardiothoracic surgery services to the hospital's patients. Complaints about Lambert's behavior arose almost immediately after he was hired. He was evaluated by a team of doctors and psychologists and they diagnosed him with obsessive compulsive personality disorder and concluded that he was unfit to practice medicine. Based on this, the hospital suspended his staff privileges. Citing the suspension, they filed a lawsuit against Lambert, seeking damages, claiming that he had breached his employment contract.
