Problem: Alice Springs is a project manager at an engineering firm. The engineering firm is working closely with a client who is establishing a new manufacturing line in an existing facility. Alice is an expert in productivity and quality engineering and she is determining how productive the line can be after an initial training and learning period. A test run with the production team that will eventually operate the line indicated that on the first run, the team was able to produce a lot in 12.25 hours. Alice estimates the learning curve for the line, based on an analysis of similar lines, will be 62%. What will be the time required to produce a lot on the 17th attempt by the production team?
