First of all, brands should creative, attractive, flexiable and profitable correlated to their business in the real life. If a brand does very good business in the society, it does can create identities in the social communities. For example, if the brand apple shows up in any social medias, it can create identities very quickly and accurate, the reason why is everyone know the apple company is incredible company in the world. By the way, its brand logo is very creative and attractive. Secondly, brands should create more benefits to people to get its own identities, in other word, people/customers care about how can get more and more benefits, it will decide how they identity the brand.
