Construction Management Assignment - Field Report

Here is a general outline for the field report: You need to go to a construction site and introduce yourself to the supervisor and conduct an interview of that person in accordance with the outline below. You are not required to enter the site.

1. Cover Sheet with your name, Course Title, Date and Title of the Project

2. Introduction/Description of the project

a. The type of project: Building, bridge, etc.

b. Location of project

c. Public or private project

d. Approximate budget

e. What permits were required

3. Status of project during your visit

a. Percent complete

b. Status of Schedule

c. What types of trades and equipment were present when you conducted your visit.

d. Challenges

e. What type of contract lump sum, design build, GC at risk

f. How change orders are handled

Your report should be no more than three (3) pages of double spaces text.

Include between six to eight photographs with captions and they should be discussed/ referenced in the body of the report.

Include sketches or plans, they should also be discussed in the report.
