Scenario - Sgt. Harrison through ten years of hard work and dedication to the department was promoted to sergeant and selected for the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT). The LT of the SWAT team places Sgt Harrison as the lowest ranking member of the team on the roster. Harrison does not feel like he should be the lowest ranking member of the team due "paying his dues on the street" especially when there are officers with less time in the department on the team. Officer Diaz six years with the department and three years on SWAT assigns Sgt. Harrison clean up detail at the gun range for the weeks weapons training. After the training Harrison fails to complete the cleanup as assigned. Officer Diaz approaches Sgt. Harrison about the failed assignment which he replied for Diaz to "stay in his paygrade" that he is "not the boss". Officer Diaz writes up Sgt Harrison to the team LT and recommends removal from the SWAT team in place for the alternate candidate who is a better team player and a better fit.
