Assignment: Public Health - literature review

Summarize the equity literature review that you have chosen as a lens for your analysis -- I have chosen immigration status

A. Briefly summarize the literature in your own words. You should describe the most important points in the literature review, being as specific and concise as possible

B. You do not need to detail the methods that the authors used. Instead, focus on why the literature review was conducted, what the results were, and any key takeaways from the discussion/conclusion sections

C. Identify any connections to your site ( my capstone site is the WAWAC center in Washington) --> whose mission is to "Connect West Africans in Washington with local resources and bridge the gap between us and the wider community". They serve West Africans in the greater Seattle area, specifically, Pierce, King, and Snohomish counties aiding in everything from meal assistance to after school programs and language classes. The public health issues they focus on are immigration advocacy, employment support, language and interpretation access, food security, education for all ages, transportation access, and Covid-19 supplies. Moreover, WAWAC provides a community where members can feel a sense of belonging, family, and a home in the midst of immigration. The primary article being analyzed is Food Insecurity Disparities Among Immigrants in the U.S with a focus on the equity issue; immigration., more specifically focus on the public health population you are serving as part of your capstone project
