Problem: History

First, watch the PBS series Reconstruction: America After the Civil War, read Chapter 7 "The Larger Reconstruction" from the Painter textbook, and read the documents on Reconstruction in this week's module (including the letter from the Citizens of Norfolk, Virginia and the letter from Jourdan Anderson). Then, write an essay of at least 300-400 words on the readings. Explain what you learned about the Reconstruction period, and your reactions to ALL of the readings and episodes. What surprised you when reading these documents? What interested you about these documents? As a reminder, before posting, you should revise, spell-check, grammar-check, proofread, and fact-check your work. Cite all sources, making certain that words of other people are in quotation marks, and that ideas of other people are properly cited.
