• Read through each of the element cards you are given. Look for similarities between the elements and create groups that have the most similarities.

• Within each group, try and arrange the elements in a logical way.

• Show your arrangement of all 12 elements by drawing a table and writing the letter of each element in the cells of the table. (create a column for each of the groups you sorted them into)

2. Within each group, how did you decide to organize the elements?

3. Based on what you have seen about periodic properties, predict the properties for the element that would be in the same group as element T but with higher mass (i.e. it would sit below element T on the periodic table).
