Introduction
This discussion focuses on stereotyping, its negative or positive impact on individuals, and the role perception plays in stereotyping.
Initial Post Instructions
For the initial post, address the following:
• Reflect on situations in which you felt that you were the victim of a negative stereotype. Briefly share how you felt.
• Have you ever benefited from a positive stereotype? Explain.
• Do you think that you have ever unfairly viewed others based on a negative stereotype?
• Based on your findings discuss the implications of stereotyping, both negative and positive.
• What role does perception play in stereotyping?
