Organizations such as Walmart are constantly confronted with challenges and therefore have to reexamine their strategies. There is also the need to create alignment with research and development, which also imposes the need to reassess notions of structures and cultural elements.

What organizational control techniques do you think can be effective for operations outside the parent country? Do you think an extension of specific and select parent country techniques could be applicable and in what ways?
