Imagine yourself in 5 years as an experienced RN. The Day Surgery Center/Dialysis Center/Community Hospital (take your pick) where you have been employed since graduating from GCC, is closing. You have been hired as Director of Nursing at the Long Term Care Center where Mr. Daly stayed in the final days of his life (Kayser-Jones, 2009). There is new ownership and a complete systems change is in process for the facility. The new management has acquired a large amount of federal grant money to implement these changes.
