Question: Rarely is life like the fiction we like in this country (good vs. evil), life is not so clear and easy. We are complicated. Having read the article and the prologue, wr.ite a post that exposes what is wrong with the period of sectionalism (using the Know Nothings and what you learned from those months right before the Civil War). Are there problems that still ring true today? Please use the lecture to help with the context of this period. In other words, is there a lesson in this history that we can learn from that applies to our world today? Although you are focusing on problems, that doesn't mean you can't address some of the good. I think Major Anderson is a ray of hope (and you can always bring in some hope to your writing as well).
