Company XYZ is evaluating whether it is meeting the six sigma requirement or not. The company promises its customer to deliver the product in 15 to 75 hours. Actual shipment data has a mean of 50 hours and standard deviation of 5 hours. Is the company meeting six sigma requirement? If not, what should be the standard deviation to get the six sigma level?

Section B: This section is worth 8 points

A process consists of 5 steps. Step 1 and step 2 performs at 2 sigma levels, step 3 and step 4 operates at 3 sigma level and step 5 operates at 4 sigma level. What is the sigma level of the entire system?
