Last week, the woman to my left, and the two men to my right all cut themselves as did two other people in the class (true story). The woman actually cut herself twice (also true), though she was the only one to do that. I did not cut myself at all (again true). There are three more knife labs before we move on to safer things like deep frying...

At the end of each class, those students who cut themselves had to fill out an accident report.

Based on this information, answer the following questions. Clearly note, with a brief explanation, any assumptions that are necessary.

a. The cuts are generally minor but each need to be covered with a bandage. At the end of the class, there are only 12 bandages in the first aid kit. How likely is it that that will be enough?

b. How likely is it that I will cut myself?

If the final class results in three cuts, what is the probability that the women who was next to me in the first class again cuts herself twice?
