Suppose a manufacturing company makes a very important product called a widget which is a component in several very popular retail items. Unfortunately, the process of making widgets is highly volatile. When making a single widget, let W be the event that it has the proper width, L be the event it has the proper length, and Q be the event that it is of sufficient quality to be used. Sketch a Venn diagram which shows the event Wc ∩ L c ∩ Q. 4. Under the setup of problem 3, suppose we know the following probabilities: P(L) = 0.80 P(W) = 0.80 P(Q) = 0.60 P(L ∩ W) = 0.64 P(L ∩ Q) = 0.48 P(W ∩ Q) = 0.48 P(W ∪ L ∪ Q) = 0.95 What is the probability that a widget has the proper width, length, and quality?
