You are working at a dry cleaning facility and are regularly exposed to trichloroethylene (TCE) fumes. Given the EPA acceptable risk level of 1 cancer in a million, what is the maximum concentration of TCE you can tolerate at the dry cleaning facility and keep your incremental cancer risk below the acceptable risk? If you decide that you can accept an incremental risk of 10-7, how many days a year can you work at the dry cleaners given the concentration of TCE you have calculated?
