1. Consider a machining work cell consisting of 4 machines and 1 worker. The machining cell manufactures two components: L and M alternatively, that is, the two components are produced in the sequence of LMLMLM. Both components visit the machines in the order of A, B, C, and D.

Suppose each machine needs to be adjusted before it can be used to produce a different component. The setup times (in seconds) of the machines and the times (in seconds) for the machines to process a component are listed in the following table. We assume that it takes a machine the same amount of time to process a unit of different components.
