A UTP cable has a bit rate of 10 Mbps and a propagation delay of 4 mu s/km. A sender intends to transmit a file of size 500 KB to a receiver who is connected with a cable length of 10,000 km. What are the propagation time and transmission time for transmitting this file? What is the latency of this communication?

A light signal is traveling through a single-mode fiber where the velocity of propagation is approximately 2.04 times 10^8 m/s. What will be the delay in the signal if the length of the cable is 8 km?
