Susan is entering the third trimester of pregnancy with her first child. She has her baby shower celebration at a local banquet hall. The family has salads, cold cuts sandwiches, cheese, and deviled eggs as the for the baby shower. About 3 weeks later, Susan has severe contractions and goes into labor. The baby is born having difficulty breathing, a fever, and smal sores. Susan has not been feeling well for the last couple of days. She has had chills, back pain and gastrointestinal issues. She thought they were related to her pregnancy. The baby is immediately brought to intensive care.
