The office manager at a Brookline Corner Clinic is given the assignment to analyze the time it takes a customer to receive care. The clinic is open eight hours a day. During this time, the office manager observed that a patient spends an average of 30 minutes in the waiting room and is serviced by one of the 6 receptionists. The patient will then be brought to the doctor’s office and be seen by one of 3 possible nurses for 15 minutes for a preliminary checkup. The doctor (only one doctor) will then see the patient for, an average of, 15 minutes to give the patient a diagnosis.
