Bambam's father Fred has two single locus autosomal recessive disorders: alpha sclerosis and beta dystrophy. The genes that cause the two disorders are located 5 cM apart on chromosome 12. Bambam and his mother Wilma are both healthy (have neither disorder). Bambam marries Pebbles who has both alpha sclerosis and beta dystrophy.
