This assignment is based on two videos from Thomas Patterson, Professor of Government and the Press at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and author of the American Government textbook, We the People. As one watches both videos, think about the powers and duties of the president (both formal powers and informal powers). The first video focuses on the power of presidents over domestic policy - which means policies that affect the United States. The second video looks at the power of presidents in world affairs in the area of foreign policy.
