Should religious practices, such as wearing religious garb, always yield to national security issues? Are there exceptions to your stance? Are other religious symbols such as the Jewish use of the kippa or the Sikh use of the turban subject to the same debate? Why or why not?

Consider the changes in opinion on face coverings because of the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically in the United States and in Europe. Do the arguments for and against COVID-19 mask mandates for public health reasons change anything for the debate on Muslim veil and/or burqa bans?
