Assignment:

A 12-year-old boy with severe developmental disabilities is in a foster placement. The client is ambulatory, and he roams at night. He will go in the kitchen and try to get knives to make a snack, and a few times he went outside and started walking down the road at night. The neighbor of the foster mother called one night at 3am to alert the foster mother that the boy was walking down the street in his underwear. For now, to keep him safe, his "treatment" is a "cage" for sleeping It looks like an old institution crib with a top that locks so he can't get out. A BCBA was involved in this intervention.
