Thanos is an odd villain in the universe. He travels to many planets in search of 6 infinity stones, magical gems that give their owner different super powers. Once he obtains all 6 infinity stones, he places them in a glove, combining their powers. He uses his new gauntlet to instantly kill half of the people in the universe. He believes that he has a noble plan. He has noticed that people around the universe treat each other terribly, with war and famine across every land.

Thanos believes that the root cause is our inability to share necessary resources. By killing half of all people, he thinks that survivors will be able to peacefully share vital resources. What would Kantians think of this policy? Explain. Be sure to address key aspects of this Kantian ethics and apply the main rule of the theory.
