NTRODUCTION - In this lesson we look at two areas: (i) the scope of production and how goods get to the consumer and (ii) the location of production and the factors that influence an industry's growth in a particular area.

YOUR AIMS - At the end of this lesson you should be able to:

  • appraise the benefits to the producer of a wholesaler
  • understand the factors influencing the location of production
  • determine the reasons for a particular industry's location
  • appreciate the causes of industrial inertia.
