The article below compares KBIT and WISC III scores in another special population - low income African-American youth. There were significant differences in certain areas on similarities in others. For example, KBIT and WISC-III verbal measures (Vocabulary and Verbal IQ scores, respectively), were similar on the two measures. The authors hypothesize that differences in scores, such as Matrices (KBIT) and Performance (WISC) scores may be due to a number of factors, including whether the task measures crystallized vs. fluid intelligence.
