Business Law

Company A and Company B produce high tech security devices in State C. Company A and B are rival competitors in State C. Company A is fearful that their employees will jump ship and go to Company B seeking employment and carrying with them the design secrets of Company A. Therefore Company A is requiring employees of Company A to sign a no-compete contract . Company A employees have been holding violent protests and have even brought weapons to the protest.

Discuss the following:

What are the rights of Company A employees?
Why are company A's employees so upset about a no compete contract?
Have the rights of Company A's employees been violated?
What should the employees do?
Do the employees have a remedy with the court system?
How would you stop the employees from becoming violent?

In business the laws are very strict. Do you think that carrying a gun to work is a safety issue? Will this help or hurt the work environment? Why or why not? No research is required. I just want your opinion.

In your own words, post a substantive response to the Discussion Board question(s) and comment on other postings. Your response should address the DB question(s) and move the conversation forward. You will be graded on the quality of your postings, including mastery of the concept as well as critical thinking. If asked for your opinion, do not simply state that it is a good or bad idea; elaborate on your reasons and argument. Include enough detail to substantiate your thinking as well as your position on the questions or comments.
