Cultural practices range from traditional Bantu and Khoisan traditions to the influence of Afrikaans and of the African and British customs.

Southern African population is 130 million people with rural areas averaging 20 people per square kilometer and sparsely populated landscapes in Namibia with 3 people per square kilometer.South Africa has strong industries, mining, and good infrastructure. Botswana's economy grows due to its diamond industry. While Lesotho and Eswatini depend heavily on South Africa for economic support.
