In seconds, thieves have beenknown to drive up and clear a campsite. Putting away everything at night and when we were away from thecampsite, she strongly advised us. Then there were the chipmunks. Scurrying toward our campsite, we sawhundreds of chipmunks each time we cooked. Finally, we worked in teams, with one person cooking and theother fending off hungry chippies. During the day we went hiking and did some fishing even. Each eveningwe would nearly store all our equipment before retiring with spoon and pan in hand. Exhausted from theday's activity, the ground was hard, but we slept soundly.
