Note that this discussion is on fair use and copyright infringement in business, not plagiarism, so I want your answers to reflect that focus.
In your own thread, respond to ONE of the following:
1) Have you or someone you know broken copyright or "fair use" laws by copying images owned by others and using them in presentations, marketing material, or other company documents in a business workplace? Was the person found out? If so, what was the punishment? Were there any repercussions for the individual or organization? To support your analysis, provide two pieces of information from the resource articles I posted on this topic and citations to document the sources of that information in order to fulfill the citation requirements of the discussion. Don't forget that whenever you cite something, you also must provide a reference.
2) If you have NOT observed any copyright or “fair use” infringement in your workplace, find an instance from a news article from one of the college library databases describing a company or an employee of a business that was caught breaking copyright or fair use laws by copying images and presenting them as his or her own. Was the person found out? If so, what was the punishment? Were there any repercussions for the individual or organization? To support your analysis, provide information and TWO citations: one from the article you found AND one from one of the resource articles I posted in order to fulfill the citation requirements of the discussion. Don't forget that whenever you cite something, you also must provide a reference.
