Using Technology to Deliver Training
It is no secret that technology has taken over every aspect of the business world. This is one reason why business is ever evolving. Mangers can now have access to thousands of thousands of employees who are right for the job with in minutes. From there they can choose the top few, depending on how many positions are open, and from there they can be trained rapidly using technology.
As was previously stated technology has bombarded the business world, in a good way. Technology has open the door for fast and easy business. The same way technology has been use to speed up the business world is the same way it can be used for training purposed to enhance additional learning. Technology-delivered instructions (TDI) allows for employees to learn on a faster pace. TDI is predicated to be booming in the next few years. On the demand side of it employees will receive rapid knowledge and training that will make learning and relearning essential for workers to help them keep up to date on developments in there field (Wayne Cascio, 2015). This how technology can benefit the transfer of learning.
From my own experience I have worked at a job where you had to fit in a meeting for training. As an employee I thought to myself if I were a manger I would be wondering how much money am I losing by having my employees in this training program. While I can have them work and make a profit for the company and in there own time they can do their training. With that being said the next year that is exactly what the manger did. We found that it was more effective for the workers and the company. Having to sit in a 10-14 hour training can be very boring, and I believe that is what my manager thought so he made it accessible for the employees to do the next year. As a result, the employees were getting the training done a lot faster and at the same time they were learning more about the department.
