Company X has seven pending tasks, each of which takes a given number of days to be finished. The amount of time required for each of the tasks are (in days): 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 4 and 3. There are three employees that can be assigned to any of the tasks; each tasks needs to be performed by one employee. As a goal, the company wants to assign the tasks to the employees, in order to minimize the maximum workload among the workers, that is, minimize the maximum sum of times taken by the tasks assigned to an employee. Formulate the problem as an ILP and solve it using optimization software.
