Problem- I want to make cis-2-pentene given propyne and other reagents as needed. I need to use retrosynthesis to get from my starting material (propyne) to my target material (cis-2-pentene). I know that in order to make the product cis I must use H2 Lindlar's catalyst but that's about it. I'm lost.
My main issue is that I think I have to have a balanced reaction in order to do the calculations.
