As virginia Rometty rose though the ranks of IBM , she earned the experience and skills needed to head this pioneering technology company. She worked closely with the previous CEO on implementing the current strategic plan, which aims to accelerate growth of IBM's global sales and profits. On her first day as CEO , she announced top-management changes to support IBM's international activities and its service division, two key groups important to the companys future .
Althogh, IBM is more than 100 yeras old,its CEO wants it to be as innovative as a young start-up.
