There is a collection of videos that were produced at University of Nebraska at Omaha regarding the "stories" of selected public administrators. (These are not stories in the sense of what you will write in this course.) They are more like interviews in which people talk a little about themselves and their careers. Watch several of the videos.

Select two that (for whatever reason) interest you.

1. Person's name

2. Five or more words or phrases that (based on your subjective impression) describe the character/personality of this person. For examples, "stubborn," and "punctual."

3. INFER what may be the emotional temperament of this person. Is your IMPRESSION that this person is cool and stable or likely to become anxious, agitated or angry? In a workplace argument, do you think this person is likely to be one of the people engaged in the argument, on the sidelines, or, "out the door?"

4. INFER what may be the "social intelligence" of this person.  Do you sense this person has the capacity to effectively navigate and negotiate complex social relationships and environments? 

5. What do you think are the likely core values and goals of this person? What matters to this person? What might he or she strive and even fight  to protect or achieve? 

6. What may be this person's weakness, fault or disability? What might hinder his or her success in navigating professional interpersonal relationships and promoting his or her values/and goals in workplace situations?
