Research Problem-
To provide effective and engaging learning experiences to ABC College students through non-traditional teaching methods.

Objectives: 

  1. To understand the effectiveness of non-traditional learning in comparison to implemented standard learning practices implemented.
  2. To identify the necessary infrastructure and resources to support the implementation of non-traditional learning methods, such as learning management systems, technological tools, and training programs for faculty and students.
  3. To identify if non-traditional learning is more effective learning practice to international students or domestic students at Georgian College.
  4. To study the advantages or challenges Professor's may experience when they teach non-traditional learning to their students.

Purpose:

In this assignment, will develop a survey that will effectively address the Research Problem relating to non-traditional learning here at ABC. This will be both an online and face to face questionnaire and should be designed as self-complete. Note that for the final Report you will eventually be deploying your survey in the field.

  • Statement of Management Problem, Research Objectives
    • Identify and state the Research Question (ie management problem to be solved) from your Research Proposal. (Modify if necessary such that it is a clear statement of the management problem to be solved!)
    • Identify and state the 3-4 Research Objectives from your Research Proposal. (Recall that Research Objectives describe the INFORMATION you are seeking. Modify if necessary so these are very clear)
  • Survey
    • Review the research problem and objectives from the research proposal
    • Develop at least 10-15 survey questions based on the survey question types outlined in class.
    • Include a variety of question types and response choices.
    • The questions must be designed to cover all objectives and answer the research question.
    • **be sure to gather information on your respondents for comparisons of differences later on** eg age/gender, working status, reasons for enrolling in higher education etc..
  • Format and layout the survey according to principles outlined in class. Be sure to include:
    • An introduction
    • Section headings
    • Instructions for the respondent
    • Well written questions and respondent choices
    • Thoughtful layout and design. Use the funnel approach
  • References in APA 
    • List any resources referenced to create survey (not quoted but used to write knowledgeable questions) in APA.
