There are two types of consultancy: internal and external. The internal consultant is the one who is actually a collaborator of the company, while the external consultant only works by providing services to the organization, independently or from another business. Internal consultant can help by providing guidance, opinions and suggestions for integrating managers and employees, making strategic decisions and resolving other problems, in addition to identifying flaws and opportunities in processes, among other points. External consultants, on the other hand, regularly draw from a broader business perspective, drawn from their vast experience with various clients, markets and sectors, and bring new ideas and best practices to clients who are ,most of the times, hired from a third party that provides service to a company in order to have a non-biased evaluation of the business.
