Study was performed to compare effectiveness of applied relaxation method and applied relaxation method with  biofedd back in patients with chronic low back pain (stron, cramond and mass 1989)20 female patients were arbitrarily allocated to each treatment group, and treatments were then given. One of dependent variable studied was change in pain rating index-based on the Mcgill pain survey between pre and post treatment. Patients were also followed for longer period but those results are not used in this exercise. Actual change data were not given in article but following table comprises hypothetical changes for two groups.
