Commas aren’t the only punctuation marks that writers have problems with—there are others that everyone needs to be use properly. First, study pages GM-29 through GM-36 in the Grammar/Mechanics Handbook at the back of your book as well as study these punctuation mark rules in your Gregg Reference Manual. Also, please note, that the proper way to type a dash (like I did in the first sentence above) is by typing two hyphens with no spaces before or after them. I will deduct one-half point if you do not type them correctly; otherwise, they are just two hyphens and not a dash punctuation mark.
