The terms tactic and strategy are often confused. Tactics are the actual means used to gain an objective, while strategy is the overall campaign plan, which may involve complex operational patterns, activity, and decision-making that govern tactical execution. Think Patton and Eisenhower. Patton was the tactical force that made the overall strategy created by Eisenhower happen. Strategy involves planning a company's next move, whether internal or external and tactics involve physically carrying out the plan. Plan the work and work the plan. Planning the work is strategy and working the plan is tactical.

Can you give example of how you can separate the strategy from the tactical?
