Problem- Prior to their phaseout in the 1980s, chemicals containing lead were commonly added to gasoline as anti-knocking agents. A 8.907 g sample of one such additive containing only lead, carbon and hydrogen was burned in an oxygen rich environment. The products of the combustion were 9.695 g of CO2 and 4.961 g of H2O. The sum of the subscripts in the empirical formula of the lead additive is: a. 26 b. 29 c. 30 d. 36
