To qualify for the national Junior Olympics a lacrosse player must be in the top 1% of the nation. How many goals must a player score in one season in order to qualify for the Junior Olympic team? Assume that that normal distribution and the standard scores table in the back of your book will apply to this question. Explain why this number is so much larger than the average number of goals made. Also explain how you use the table from the back of the book to arrive at this answer.
