The length of a rod is normally distributed with mean 4 inches and variance 0.01 square inch. Two such rods are placed end to end and fitted into a slot. The length of the slot is 8 inches with a tolerance of -0.1 to 0.1 inch. What is the probability that the two rods will fit?
