The gauche and anti conformations of butane have a Delta r G of -0.9kcal/mol difference in free energy. The temperature is 298K.

a)Determine the fraction of butane in the anti and gauche conformers at equilibrium.

b) Identify how the rate of the forward reaction, the rate of the backward reaction, the fraction of butane in the gauche conformer at equilibrium and the relaxation time would change if you increased the concentration of total butane. Provide explanations.
