"It is my opinion that we should begin to loosen our dependency of foreign oil We are a nation that is capable of self sustaining but we are to concerned trying to cater to the needs of other countries that we have lost focus on our own. Not only our we in an energy crisis but we are also in a financial crisis as well. Our country is facing a great recession and if we do not do something quickly we are on the verge of an even larger financial collapse. Greed plays a key role in the use of oil production. Going back a few years ago the Oil industry released its quarterly report saying that they had made an estimated 16 billion dollar profit. If gas and other natural resources are priced so high you can not tell me that by cutting prices in half and making an eight billion dollar profit isn't enough then greed is definitely the reason for our demise!
