Cyclohexane can be used as a solvent for freezing point depression measurements. When 1.07 g of naphthalene (MW = 128.17 g/mol) is mixed with 51.29 g of cyclohexane, the freezing point of the resulting solution is 3.29 °C. The freezing point of pure cyclohexane is 6.54 °C.
